In August 1990\, he made the life-changing move to the Gold Coast\, Brisbane\, Australia\, where his passion for hospitality and cooking\, particularly Italian cuisine\, began to take root. \nYousif pursued a fulfilling career as a chef and restaurateur\, opening his first restaurant on the Gold Coast\, serving authentic Italian dishes. Driven by both business opportunities and a heart for new communities\, he later relocated along with family to Caloundra on the Sunshine Coast. There\, he successfully operated a dual-concept restaurant for 15 years\, blending the warmth of Italian cuisine with the bold flavors of a South African steakhouse. \nHis journey then led him to Cleveland\, Queensland\, where he opened a small coffee shop. It was in this humble setting that Yousif experienced a deep spiritual transformation\, fully surrendering his life to Christ. The coffee shop became known locally as a little Christian café\, a place of fellowship\, ministry\, and evening Bible studies. It became a spiritual home to many and inspired mission trips to Myanmar\, extending God’s love abroad. \nIn 2021\, Yousif was led to the island of Coochiemudlo\, just a short ferry ride from Victoria Point. What began as a business opportunity quickly revealed itself to be a divine calling. Sensing the brokenness and spiritual hunger of the community\, Yousif embraced his mission\, to be present\, to serve\, and to share the hope of Christ with a place in need of restoration. \nToday\, Yousif continues to blend his love for hospitality with his passion for ministry\, faithfully serving where God leads\, one meal\, one conversation\, and one soul at a time. \nBring business cards to enter the prize draw!\n\n\n
