Redlands CBN with Amin Mak
Introducing Amin Mak: Inspiring Faith in Business
Join us next month at CBN Redlands Event as we welcome Amin Mak, also known as Mr. Roof, as our speaker.
His journey through humble beginnings is a testimony that has the power to redefine one's view on what success as a business owner and as an obedient servant can mean.
Amin and his wife Saba arrived in Australia 10 years ago, after Amin faced dangerous religious persecution by Iranian authorities, having endured a perilous journey as boat people through Indonesia.
Prior to their arrival, Amin worked as a petrochemical engineer on oil rigs in the Persian Gulf. However, his faith caught the attention of a colleague, resulting in a dangerous situation that led them to seek asylum in Australia.
Settling in the Redlands, Amin and Saba not only became homeowners but also established a thriving small business which in turn has become a center for evangelism, impacting their community through their workers and customer interactions. In addition, they serve as co-pastors in one of Australia's largest Persian-speaking church communities.
Amin's deep passion for people having a relationship with God is evident in his daily life. He consistently seeks the guidance of the Holy Spirit in his business and ministries, allowing faith to shape his decisions and his remarkable testimony, is filled with inspiring and miraculous moments and will encourage and uplift attendees, helping us to realise how truly blessed we are whilst providing valuable insights into own businesses and ministries.
Don't miss this opportunity to be inspired and equipped to thrive in your own endeavors, fueled by the power of faith.
Brisbane CBN with Dr Paul Browning
You are invited to join us for our next Christian Business Network meeting at Queensland Parliament on Friday 28 July 2023.
This is an opportunity for those in Business, Government, Education & the Church to gather together, network, to be equipped to serve God in their particular area.
Our Guest speaker is Dr Paul Browning, Headmaster of St Paul's School Bald Hills.
In the era of #metoo, "fake news", and "alternative facts", few would dispute that we face a global crisis around trust in the workplace and, more broadly, in society. Trust has been identified as one of the future key challenges the nation faces in relation to governments, businesses, non-government organisations and the media. It is less likely that a company will be able to innovate and remain competitive if trust is low or absent.
Dr Paul Browning faced this situation when the school he led became embroiled in the Royal Commission into Institutional Responses to Child Sexual Abuse. Based on his first-hand experience of navigating an organisation through this highly public ethical crisis, he wrote "Principled", where he outlines the ten key leadership practices that build trust based on evidence-based research.
Under Paul's leadership, St Paul's School has been listed among the world's 100 most innovative learning organisations in Cambridge University's Innovation 800 series and Australian School of the Year for 2019.
Paul is a sought-after guest speaker in Australia and internationally, drawing from his evidence-based research, Compelling Leadership: The Importance of trust and how to get it.
According to The Courier Mail, Dr Paul Browning is "one of the most respected and influential figures in education in the country."
During his presentation, Paul will share his own story and about the ten leadership principles that build trust, followed by a Q&A Session.
